What is your interest rate?
UpgradeUSA offers laptop computers on a monthly payment plan. Because it is a lease, and not financing, there is no interest charged in our program. There is a lease fee with each monthly payment, and customers are welcome to pay the account off early to avoid any further lease fees.
Does UpgradeUSA offer anything other than computers?
We are focused on delivering our customers a variety of high-quality, brand-name products on payment plans. Today, our consumer business is focused on laptop, tablet, and desktop computers. We can order just about any kind of equipment, in large quantities, for customers on our business program. What brand of laptops or tablets do you carry?
What if I don’t want to continue leasing the computer?
If you change your mind and want to end your lease, we make it easy for you. If your account is current, you can pay off your account at any time, and the buyout amount gets less with each payment made. We try to make things very easy for our customers, and we hope that you’re delighted with our service!
Do you ship to P.O. Box addresses?
No, we are only able to ship computers directly to a physical address.
Once I’m approved, how long do I have to make a decision?
After you receive your approval email and activate your account, you can start your lease at any time. Our inventory changes each week so if you see something you like, keep in mind that it may be gone if you wait too long. When will I receive my order?
We ship our computers after we receive your first payment. Some computers may ship the same day, and others may take longer depending on their special order status. If you require expedited shipping, contact us and we will work with you on shipping arrangements.
Is there any software included with the computer?
Each computer comes with factory-installed software, such as games or trial versions of software. You are welcome to install whatever software or applications you prefer. We also encourage you to use anti-virus, spyware, and malware protection – there are some great free options available that will ensure optimal performance.

How much will my payments be?
The amount of your payment depends on the laptop or tablet computer that you select – you can see the monthly payment amount of each computer by viewing our current inventory. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit cards and all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, Discover, and American Express.
Is there a minimum lease term?
On our small business program, you’ll stick with us for 21 months unless you pay off or buy out your account early. We provide all of our customers with a payoff table – and their payoff amount gets lower every month.
How do I make a payment?
We’ve worked hard to make payments very easy for our customers. When you set up your account, you will make your first payment with a credit or debit card, and will then be automatically set up for future payments. You will be able to review your payment schedule, early pay off chart, and lease agreement at any time online. If you’d like to pay off your lease early, or make advance payments, you always have the option to make one-time payments to your account by contacting our support staff.
Can I pay off my lease early?
You bet! As long as your account is current, you can pay off your remaining balance at any time, which effectively offers you an early discounted buyout. The payoff is lower with each monthly payment and the payoff schedule is available under ‘My Account’ on the UpgradeUSA site. Please contact us if you have any questions about paying off your account early.
Do I have to make a down payment?
There is no charge to apply to the UpgradeUSA program. We will ship the computer after we receive your first payment, plus shipping and processing. Your first payment will vary depending on which laptop you select, and we offer a variety of computers to fit almost any budget.
What if I forget to pay when my monthly payment is due?
We will set you up on an “autopay” system with your debit or credit card, like a monthly subscription, to make it easy for you to remember your payments. In addition, we will send a reminder email to the email address in your application up to 4 days prior to your payment due date so you can let us know if any changes need to be made. We are flexible and understanding in the event that alternate arrangements need to be made, but if you miss your payment, we may remotely lock the laptop from use until you contact us or make payment arrangements. At UpgradeUSA we never have, and never will, use spyware on our computers.
Will my monthly payment be more than what is listed on the site?
The monthly prices listed on our site exclude sales tax and an optional loss-damage waiver. We are, unfortunately, obligated by the government to charge tax with each payment! Please contact us if you have questions about your monthly payment and we would be happy to clarify any concerns!
When will my payments be due?
We make it easy for our customers to remember their due date – the payment is due on the same date each month based on when you sign your lease agreement and make the first payment. For example, if you initiate your lease on the 15th of the month, your payments will be due on the 15th of each month. If you need to make other arrangements, please contact us and we are happy to work with you on changing the payment date.
Questions about Support
What happens if the computer I’m leasing has some kind of error or malfunction?
In general, the laptops we carry are covered under a limited manufacturer’s warranty when the condition is listed as “new” or “factory refurbished.” We can offer a third-party warranty service if you are interested. If you have any questions about warranty on any item, please contact us!
What happens if the laptop gets damaged or lost while I am leasing it?
We sure hope that doesn’t happen! But for an additional layer of protection, a small monthly waiver charge eliminates this worry. This waiver protects you from the responsibility of having to pay for extensively damaged or stolen computers while you’re making use of them. If you decline the waiver, you’ll be responsible for loss or damages.
